I've noticed this is a bit hard to learn, as there aren't all that many threads explaining this. °w° I hope this will help!
Explaining multipitch:
Things needed:
Set up:
Aliasing:
Prefix Map:
Extras:
- Your prefix map will be stored besides your breath file. :3
- Now you should be able to use the voicebank, and it should automatically change pitches! You can always type a note's alias to view it. :3
- Sometimes when opening a UST, the voicebank won't load the pitches which have symbols. In that case, just click on one note and open the oto. >w<
- If there are any questions, corrections, requests or recommendations, just poke me!
Explaining multipitch:
First, a multipitch is usually three to six pitches. Two can work, and ten can work, but the UTAU program can only handle so many sounds without glitching and crashing 24/7, so the recommended number would be about 5 pitches. :3
Things needed:
First, you need your pitches (aka the voicebanks in different ranges f.e. B3, E4 and A4) placed. Just save them in separate folders by their pitch's name. Make sure they are in the UTAUloid's folder, and that there aren't a bunch of other files butting in. ;3
Then, you need a single file, commonly a breath file, which will be placed in the UTAUloid's folder, besides the other three (or more) pitch folders.
Also, I recommend otoing all pitches before, though that's not necessary. :3

Set up:
Now, open the voicebank as you normally would, except open it clicking the breath file, then after clicking okay, select your UTAU to sing. If you open the oto (Ctrl+g) you'll see all pitches loaded. Now, in order for the program to see the difference between the 'sa' sound in A4 and B3, you must aliase it.
Aliasing:
Let's say there are three pitches. For the base pitch (usually the middle one), aliase it normally, that it, in the 'Alias' section of the oto, name the sounds their regular names. (ka ki ku ke ko). Once you've finished, move to either of the remaining, and choose a symbol (preferably not a letter) for both.
Let's say you use '+' for the higher one, and a '-' for the lower one. Then, aliase the sounds of the higher one using the symbol (ka+ ki+ ku+ ke+ ko+) and the lower one with it's symbol (ka- ki- ku- ke- ko-).
If you have opened a UST already after doing this, it will not play. That is because you still need to edit the Prefix map. ;3 yaaaaay more coding

Prefix Map:
Now, close the oto and go to Tools (T) --> Edit Prefix. map (E) and you will see a box appear. :3
Ignore the Suffix section, and take a look at the Prefix one.
You can see a list of every sound there is in the program. Now, use your higher pitch's symbol (+), click the higher notes, and type it in the box. If your higher pitch is A4, make sure it stops around that note.
If you didn't have a symbol for the middle one, ignore this, otherwise you add it to something like G#4 to E4 or whatever the middle pitch is. :3
Then, add the symbol for the lower pitch to the remaining ones.
Keep in mind: if there are spaces in your alias-ation new word huh then make sure they are in the Prefix map as well!
