So did anyone else see this episode of David Letterman with Miku as a special guest?
I'm going to be perfectly honest with you guys. When I heard the news, I was really excited at first but then was afraid of how Miku was going to be presented. The performance sounded like a bunch of high-pitched screaming or jibberish. It probably would have been better if they used her Japanese VB instead of her English VB. I mean, sure, using her English VB makes sense since you're adapting her overseas to America where majority of the population speaks English but her English VB isn't exactly "show off" material. It needs much improvement with pronunciation. So as far as I see it, this performance didn't leave a good first impression for the audience. What do you guys think? Did you like the performance? Did you expect anything different?

I /really/ disliked how they showed Miku to the audience for the first time to many of them. They chose to use Miku English, with all the problems it has, and chose one of the cheesiest songs imo
They could have shown Luka V3 English instead and made a better impression >3>

Also, am I the only one who noticed that when they yelled to the audience "Hatsune Miku", everyone was quiet and then you have that one guy in the back going "Woo!"? Hilarious.
And yeah, agreed. If they really wanted to showcase Vocaloid in English, they should have gone with Luka or an Engloid. Miku doesn't necessarily have to be the first thing shown to people new to Vocaloid because of her popularity (Which I know is the reasoning behind why they choose her for everything instead of a Vocaloid of lesser popularity). But whatever. That's fine. If people want to get more into Vocaloid, they'll eventually discover the others so it's not a big deal.

I better not talk about Miku and her popularity because that almost always causes a huge argument about how everyone wants her dethroned from being #1 and yada yada;;;

I was really excited too. But I agree with most people here it was really hard to understand her and defiantly not the best use of her voice, so it was rather disappointing... The only thing I liked was how the boots were modeled and bunched around the knees like pleather.
